Reading ClubHouse (ReaCH) encourages comprehension development of English learners, for comprehension is vital in academic success. This skill should be developed at a young age. Doing so bolsters the confidence of learners when they do comprehension questions, which are a regular
part of standardized tests.
Comprehension is also developed through comparison and contrast. These are an indispensable in promoting higher order thinking skills (skills beyond memorizing),
which includes making analysis, drawing conclusions and/ or opinions,
and so on.
