What is our English language camp like? This is best answered by
telling you about our curricular and extracurricular activities.
After our students take their level assessment test, they are assigned
books to learn from. When students go to their classes, Step-Up teachers
follow three basic steps. At the beginning of the class, they do a
warm-up to engage the student in the lesson. After that, they teach
knowledge and skills in the lesson proper, and wrap the class up to
reinforce what was learned or to discover other language needs of the
learner. This pretty much occupies the learning time of our students by
day; however, we avoid making their learning experience stiff, so our
students do an extracurricular activity for an hour. Examples of this
are playing golf, cooking, and doing art.
In the evening, students do their homework. Also, they are monitored by
their in-house guardian in learning vocabulary, language patterns, and
math.
Weekends are allotted for extracurricular activities. They tour in
popular tourist spots in Subic Bay and do activities designed to
relieve their stress and maintain their health and wellness. To achieve
this, our students go swimming in different local beaches, participate
in sports, and so on.
